What is Hypnosis

What is Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a term which is often mystified, mid-understood or simply over complicated. It is used to describe the state; trance.

Hypnotic trance produces the sensation of a timeless feeling similar to daydreaming, where one can access the deepest reaches of the mind without judgement. Hypnosis is best described as a curious detached parallel awareness, where you drift into a noncritical, highly focused state of conscious mind relaxation.

We all go in and out of mild “trances” everyday; when we focus on something intently and block everything else out, or when our minds wander in a daydream.

Hypnosis allows a trained hypnotherapist to take you purposefully into a quite deep trance state where therapeutic work with the subconscious mind allows profound, positive and powerful changes to be made.

Hypnosis is about subconsciously enabling a conscious alteration of habitual and patterned negative beliefs. Under hypnosis the subconscious mind has the ability to re-frame past events and allow the physical body to release accumulated stress.
